LOCATION: Wayland Baptist University – Plainview (Live Oak)
SUPERVISED BY: Dean of the Ben and Bertha Mieth School of Nursing (MSON)

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Enrollment Coach (EC) represents the MSON at Wayland Baptist University to prospective students and organizations and facilitates the progression of the prospective student to enrolled student. The successful EC exhibits superior customer service and communication skills as well as professionalism throughout daily interactions and communications including phone calls, emails, text messages, campus tours, events and information sessions held both virtually and in-person.
SPECIFIC TASKS AND DUTIES:
- Provide information regarding admission requirements, financial aid programs, scholarship eligibility, student life, and other aspects of WBU and the MSON to prospective nursing and pre-nursing students and their families.
- Assist potential nursing students with enrollment-related issues as appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with Academic Advisors with the transition of a prospective student to an admitted student ready for advising.
- Make recruitment presentations to both groups and individuals.
- Positively promote WBU, and specifically the MSON, to stakeholders and the public at large, to include maintaining social media platforms with a consistent brand voice and aesthetic for the MSON by generating, editing, publishing, sharing, and responding to weekly content (or as needed).
- Schedule and perform campus tours to prospective nursing students, families, and faculty.
- Travel occasionally throughout the market area conducting and/or hosting activities intended to drive student engagement, specifically for the MSON.
- Effectively and professionally communicate with a wide array of university constituencies including current students, prospective students, family members of both current and prospective students, alumni, and other university schools and departments.
- Complete nursing recruitment projects as assigned by the Dean of the MSON.
- Stay current on recruiting trends and efforts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Associate’s degree may be considered if appropriate experience exists.
Experience and Knowledge:
- Experience in a university administration setting; experience with nursing education a bonus.
- A deep commitment to Christian Higher Education and agreement with the purposes and philosophy of higher education as promoted by the Baptist General Convention of Texas in general and WBU in particular.
- Experience in an administrative or assistant role.
- Experience developing marketing/media pieces to include creating and editing artwork and content.
- Experience planning events, and working with volunteers.
Skills and Abilities:
Work Environment: The work environment for this position is a standard office setting. Employees will work primarily at a desk or workstation, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. The office maintains a controlled temperature. Noise levels are generally moderate, with typical office sounds such as conversations and office machinery.
Hours of Work: Plainview campus - Although full-time, nonexempt Plainview employees are normally scheduled to work 37.75 hours per week, the official work week for full-time salaried employees is forty (40) hours. Normal work days on all campuses are Monday through Friday.
Physical Demands:
- Frequently stand and walk;
- Frequently flex upper trunk forward while sitting or standing;
- Frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds;
- Frequently carry up to 10 pounds and occasionally carry up to 25 pounds;
- Occasionally push or pull objects;
- Occasionally flex upper trunk forward at the waist and partially flex at the knees;
- Frequently reach at or below should height, and occasionally reach above shoulder height
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Employment is subject to an introductory period to monitor employee performance. If hired, the prospective employee must present documentation within three (3) days of hire date to establish identity and employment eligibility as required by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Employee must be able and willing to travel and provide recruitment assistance to external campuses. Must be able to operate a licensed motor vehicle, have access to a dependable motor vehicle, and possess a valid state driver’s license. Must have and maintain a satisfactory driver’s record.
